Qualifications for Joining the Jaguar Owners Web Ring

Whether a site is about an early SS-90, SS 100, Mk II, Mk IV, Mk V, Mk 7, Mk 8, Mk 9, Mk 10, XK120, XK140, XK150, 340, S-Type, 420, C-Type, D-Type, E-Type, XJ-6, XJ-12, XJ-6C, XJS, XJSC, XK8, XJ8 or the latest "Cat", if it is about Jaguar Cars and their drivers, it is welcome!

The Jaguar Owners Web Ring reserves the right to reject any application for inclusion into the Ring for any reason without explanation. Generally, we will accept ANY site, provided that it contains information relevant to the ring (Jaguar ownership and related activities) and is fit for general viewing.

(Basically, if your site includes JAGUAR content and is otherwise appropriate for prime time, network television in the United States, it will be accepted.)

How to join.

Here are the steps to follow to join the ring. Please be sure to follow the instructions carefully. This will insure that your site is added to the ring in the most timely manner.

Please provide all information requested.

Site URL:

When web ring users follow the web ring, this is the page they will find in your site first. Common options for Site URL include the first page of your web site (often called 'index.htm', 'index.html', 'default.htm', 'default.html', or another name that you chose when you first built your site.

Alternatively, you may provide another page for the Site URL. For example, if your site has multiple topics, you may choose a Site URL (within your site) that is the beginning of your Jaguar-related content, or on your "links" page, provided it links back to your "home" page.

You must provide a Site URL. This is the page that the Jaguar Owners Web Ring code will be placed.

Site Title:

This is the name that will appear in your Jaguar Owners Web Ring logo, and in the directory.

Name:

Your name. This is the name that will appear in your Jaguar Owners Web Ring logo, and in the directory.

E-mail:

Your preferred e-mail address. This is the e-mail address that will appear in your Jaguar Owners Web Ring logo, and in the directory.

Password:

The password allows you to edit your site. Please write it down and store it in a safe place

Keywords:

Words that other visitors can use to find your site.

Description:

A brief description of your Jaguar Owners web site

Click 'Become a Member' when you have supplied all requested info

Make sure to write down the Site ID number that will be assigned to you. Your registration request will be put in the Jaguar Owners Web Ring Queue so it can be reviewed. Once your site has been reviewed, it will be added to the Jaguar Owners Web Ring.
Once you have submitted your site, you will receive an e-mail containing the information you need to add the Jaguar Owners Web Ring code into your site. This includes the HTML fragment that you must insert in your site. Simply copy it and paste it to your HTML code.

Send Jaguar Owners Web Ring an e-mail to indicate that your site has been updated and is ready to be activated.

Your site will be reviewed to check that the HTML fragment is on your page and correct. It must be at the page (URL) submitted in the form to be accepted into the ring.
After your site has been reviewed and found compliant, you will receive an e-mail message indicating your acceptance into the Ring.
