Q. I registered my site but never got an e-mail from you with the code. What gives?

A. If your e-mail is not entered correctly (it is not checked for validity until after you hit the "Register..." button. If this happens, The Jaguar Owners Web Ring manager will get a message that indicates that the e-mail address was no good. Now of course with no valid e-mail address to use, it can be very difficult to contact you. If we have time, and your site URL is correct, AND your correct e-mail address is prominently located on your web site - we might drop you a line and let you know there is a problem. Your best bet is to go back into the Edit Screen and fix your e-mail address. This will get you back on track.

Editing Your Profile

Q. I used the Edit function to change some of my information (e-mail, name, etc) but it did not show up on my web site. Why not?

A. When you first log on to the Edit screen, the code displayed is based on the existing information BEFORE you make your changes. In order for the code to reflect, you will need to enter your changes and then sign on to the Edit screen again to get the updated code.

Q. Can I put the Jaguar Owners Web Ring panel any place I want to?

A. Yes. But please remember that visitors to your site who come from another Jaguar Owners Web Ring site will want to be able to find the panel easily. It is nice if, when they enter your site, the panel is on that page. If you choose to put the panel on a different page, here are some tips for making it easier for Web Ring visitors to find it:

Make sure your the page your registered URL points to contains obvious Jaguar-related content, with links to your Jaguar section of the site (if you site has multiple topics)
Try to make it easy for people to find your copy of the Jaguar Owners Web Ring panel - either by providing a link to the page where it may be found or some other clue.
Place your Jaguar Owners Web Ring panel on your links page. This is one of the first places people will look for it if they do not find it on your registered page.
